Original-photographers is a personal project created to draw more focus towards the original photography on tumblr.
I aim to promote original photography & to draw more attention to the hard working photographers on tumblr by exhibiting their work. This project is for amateur & professional photography alike & also people who simply have a passion for photography!
I want you to take part in the project, there’s two ways to be featured!
Submit - all work submitted will be vetted and if found appropriate added to a post queue, normally posted within two weeks of submission.
Get reblogged - I will personally be looking for original work to reblog constantly but if you want to get yourself noticed I follow the tag #original photographers
(I also keep a watchful eye over #photographers on tumblr)All styles and experience levels are welcome!
If you’re interested in the project I’d be grateful if you could spread the word, reblog this post and tell all your creative minded friends!

Among the millions of blogs on Tumblr, only a small number are contributors of original content: “the world’s creators”
And if you’ve ever looked at Tumblr’s Explore Page you might notice that Photography is oddly absent.
There’s #design, #art, #architecture and even #artists on tumblr — but no mention of anything related to the art of taking pictures with a camera. Even #film is a trap — it’s for movies, not analog photography!
We don’t think this situation is acceptable. So let’s Fight it.
We’d like to ask all original photographers on Tumblr to start putting the #photographers on tumblr tag on every single photo you post.
Photographers deserve more recognition among the Creators on Tumblr. Hopefully, by using this tag we’ll help the entire community of Tumblr photographers get noticed — and maybe one day we will see that tag on the Tumblr Explore page too.
Reblog this post and spread the word.
Sincerely,
Photographers on Tumblr

Laundry on Flickr.
Woops, kind of fell off the face of the planet for a few months. But I’m back and it felt so good to get back to taking pictures for myself again :)
Ended my 52 weeks project early, also. Stopped at 32 weeks after I realized that I was getting further and further behind with school and work. I reallllly want to do it again sometime though, because it was fun (at times) and really helped me improve.
Nonetheless, I’m so glad my friend Jesse is such a good sport. When I asked him to model for me, I don’t know what he was thinking, but it certainly wasn’t this! Also thankful nobody walked into the laundry room when we took these, haha.
Anonymous asked: do you have a deviant art?
Yes, http://anna-olivia.deviantart.com/
I’m not very active on there. I mostly just use it as a place to archive my work because as far as I know, it lets me have unlimited storage space where as Flickr requires me to pay money if I want to store more than 200 photos.
so like I’m posing the sitter and I’m all “you there sit” and they look at me like what.
